About the Role

  • Establish and communicate sales targets and coach team members to achieve exceptional sales performance;

  • Recruit, train, mentor and evaluate all members of the team;

  • Ensure efficient and sound operations by communicating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel processes, policies and procedures.

  • Analyze sales results and make recommendations to achieve targeted inventory turnover;

  • Oversee front-desk operations to ensure optimal efficiency and customer service;

  • Work in conjunction with distribution partners to ensure the seamless delivery of product to customers and timely resolution of any service concerns;

  • Jointly, with marketing department, develop promotional and advertising campaigns and communicate programs to sales team to drive additional traffic and sales to the store;

  • Effectively problem solve and manage escalated service issues, developing and communicating appropriate solutions.

  • Work with company Controller to establish and understand an effective system of key performance indicators to use as a tool in driving effective business results and understanding store performance.

  • Establish an overall high performance and engaged culture, driven by sales and excellent customer service.

  • Work collaboratively with management team to drive the success of the store.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory/manager role in a retail environment;

  • Previous experience managing commission sales staff is a strong asset;

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Business, etc.) is preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Strong leadership - proven ability in managing strong performing teams and in creating a positive environment;

  • Strong analytical skills - interest in metrics and understanding of store performance;

  • Excellent communication skills - ability to build rapport with others;
